Seven arrests for possession of offensive weapon

Beds Police made seven arrests on people in Leighton Buzzard for possession of an offensive weapon in the last year, the LBO can reveal.

A Freedom of Information request has uncovered the amount of arrests, which were all made on males over the last 12 months.

The youngest offender stopped by officers was 18 years old, the oldest was 
47.

The figure is in stark contrast to Luton, where 243 people were arrested after being found with an offensive weapon.

Among those arrests were six made on 13-year-old boys.

As many as 24 were detained in Dunstable for the same offence,
