With around 80 million chocolate eggs likely to be consumed this Easter, the Energie fitness club wants to reduce the size of your chocolate footprint.

The gym on Leighton Road will waive your joining fee in exchange for a donated treat to be sent to the Kids Out children’s charity as part of their Easter Egg Amnesty.

Lee Toon, the club’s manager, said: “Although understandably not quite as beneficial for the heath of the planet as its carbon counterpart, chocolate offsetting has the potential to improve the health of all those living on it who aren’t always quite able to resist the temptation of a little sweet indulgence.”
