LINSLADE'S youngsters have a great head for figures!
Cedars Upper School and Linslade Middle School both sent representatives to the regional final of the UK team Maths Challenge. Students from the schools worked in teams to solve mathematical problems, and competed against other similar teams from across the region.

Cedars Maths Students have also had a go at "playing the stock market."
Nine teams of students from the maths department entered the recent National Student Investor competition.
Each team was given 100,000 of virtual money to invest in stocks and shares and over a period of three months they had to see how they could make their money grow.
The winning team from Cedars was called "The Parc Congolmerate" and consisted of Carl Fidzcuk, Robin Murphy, Andy Reeves and Paul Sloggett (pictured above).
Mrs Adams, team leader for maths, said: "It was a real insight into seeing how the stock market worked and students had a lot of fun buying and selling shares throughout the competition".
