Rennie Grove Hospice Care is appealing for elves to help save Santa’s float in Cheddington this Christmas.
The Hospice runs the Santa float every year but this year they are struggling to get enough volunteers for the float to run.
Claire Redrup, community engagement officer, said: “I have had a great response from people after I put an appeal on Facebook, we now have enough drivers.
“But we still need lots more helpers, in particular elves, the more people we get to help the better it will be for everyone and we can make it a great float for the children. The elves are the people that knock on people’s doors and encourage them to come out and see Santa on his float.
“If you could spare a few hours to walk along and knock on doors you will help ensure this much loved festive tradition continues in Cheddington.”
All money raised on Santa’s float will go to Rennie Grove Hospice Care. The Hospice gives patients in Bucks and Herts with life-limiting illnesses a choice of how and where they receive care towards the end of life. It relies on public support for funding and volunteers at their hospices.
