End to ‘nightmare’ of thudding noise

Drilling work which left Leighton homeowners ‘living a nightmare’ has now stopped, the LBO can confirm.

A fortnight ago we received a number of complaints that work in Bossington Lane was causing hell for residents, who reported that vibrations emanating from the site were sending ornaments off shelves.

Central Beds Council told us that it had been in touch with the developer, while building firm boss John McMahon apologised but said that there was no alternative to the ‘piling’ work.

Residents have since told us that the thudding noise was not heard last week.
