There’s all sorts to keep the kids entertained at Leighton Buzzard Library Theatre this summer, including a range of films and drama workshops.

There are special ‘Relaxed Screenings’ for those on the autism spectrum or for anyone who would prefer an environment with unreserved seating, reduced sound volume and low lighting – where people are free to make a noise, move around or leave the cinema.

Screenings include Minions at 2pm on August 6, 15 and 20, with a relaxed screening at 2pm on August 11; Moomins on the Riviera at 2pm on August 4 and 13; Jurassic World (12A) at 5pm on August 22; and Inside Out at 2pm on August 28, September 1 and 3 and October 30 and 5pm on August 29. There will also be a relaxed screening at 2pm on October 28.

Tickets are £4.20 for children and concessions and £5.45 for anyone else.

Children’s drama workshops include the Summer Reading Challenge which is well under way. The theme is Record Breakers and children can sign up and join in for free.

Young people aged between seven and 12 can learn new skills and make new friends at two drama workshops on August 25 and 26, run by professional theatre company Full House.

They’ll spend the day with a professional actor and director playing games, acting and finding our about some of the zaniest world record attempts while stretching their creative abilities. It’s suitable for children who’ve had acting experience as well as those who don’t.

Tickets cost £15 for each day.
