The 2014 Leighton Buzzard Oxjam Music Festival ran right through March, with some events taking place in late February and others in early April.

In total there were 39 concerts, recitals, ‘open mic’ nights, folk sessions, pub gigs and barn dances held over the six weeks, with music to appeal to all tastes.

In addition, compilation CDs were on sale with 18 tracks by local musicians and groups, and these continue to be available (just £5 for over one hour’s worth of music) at the Oxfam shop and ‘Wild Wood’.

Organisers say the festival has raised more than £6,000 this year. And to celebrate the end of the festival a performance of live, acoustic music will take place on Saturday (10th May) between 2pm and 3.30pm at the stone half-circle at the bottom of the High Street; finishing with an announcement of the final total at the end.

Everyone is welcome to come along to listen and join in, and if you haven’t yet got a copy of the CD why not drop into the Oxfam shop while you’re there!
