Work on a £15m retail park can now begin after a campaigner’s battle to prevent its construction failed, the LBO can reveal.
Victoria Harvey, of Knaves Hill, Linslade, has fought tooth and nail to see off plans for the Grovebury Road retail park, which she says will severely hamper trade in Leighton town centre.
After seeing an application for a judicial review rejected at London’s Royal Courts of Justice, Victoria appealed the decision and returned to High Court today.
However she was told she had no hope of overturning the original Central Beds Council planning decision for approval, handed down last year.
