Two co-workers raised over £1000 for The Movember Foundation as part of the movember campaign.

Heather Fergusson Smith and her GIST colleague Carl McCabe decided to dye their hair and moustache purple as part of the campaign to raise awareness for men’s cancer charities.

Heather said: “I am a lorry driver and I work with a lot of men, I convinced Carl to dye his moustache purple for Movember and in return he said I had to dye my hair purple.

“It is for a great cause, we raised more than £1250.

“Huckleberry’s Hair in Leighton Buzzard dyed my hair for free, in return for me donating the amount to Movember.”

The Movember Foundation is a global charity that aims to help men live healthier, happier and longer lives.

Since 2003 over £400 million has been raised for the charity and funded over 1000 programmes focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity.
