It's your last chance to nominate for cheering volunteers

If you haven't yet nominated your selection for this year's Cheering Volunteering awards, you have until Friday (March 31).

They’re a chance to thank the many volunteers and voluntary organisations across Central Bedfordshire for the often unheralded work they do to help others in their community.

There are six categories including Young Volunteer, Outstanding Contribution, Lifetime Achievement and Fundraiser of the Year.

The winners will be announced at a gala event at Dunstable’s Grove Theatre in June. Free tickets are available for what promises to be a great evening’s entertainment.

The event is organised by Central Bedfordshire Council.

Inspiring Volunteering is a new grant scheme to encourage volunteering with £5,000 available to help local voluntary and community sector projects, ranging from a minimum of £100 to a maximum of £1,000.
