A smashing night, with first class food and service – that was the opinion of Cllr Alan Brandham who helped organise a fundraiser which raised more than £500 for the charity KidsOut.
The curry and quiz event was held at The Lime Tree in partnership with owner Mohammed Humayun.
KidsOut – part of the national charity – has been based in Leighton for 14 years.
The money raised will go towards disadvantaged youngsters in the area.
Recent trips have included visits to Bounce, Go Ape, Gullivers Land and Ride High.
In addition, more than 700 children visited Whipsnade Zooe earlier in the year as part of KidsOut National Day Out.
The Lime Tree will hold another curry and quiz evening in six months for the group.
In addition, there’s a family fun day and football match between Tesco and Morrison at Leighton Town Football Club on August 14.
KidsOut are always looking for volunteers and people to join their local community committee.
