Leighton's Groom Room pampers abandoned pooches

Their owners may have have abandoned them but seven pooches from Hula Animal Rescue in Apsley Guise were smothered in love and pampered to perfection at the Groom Room in Leighton Buzzard.

Kind-hearted manager Sara Morris was behind the treat for these very special visitors.

She said: “It makes me sad how people treat their pets and how they end up in rescue centres.

“So many need good homes with good people and hopefully with help from Hula they will find one.

“Manager Emma Wooley and her team do a great job looking after them.”

Sarah was totally taken with nervous little Freddie. “He needed time to get his confidence up,” she said. “But while he was was here we were able to make a fuss of him and his friends. I would love to have taken them all home, if only I had the space.”

The dogs had a shampoo and groom and were given lots of treats and cuddles by Sarah and fellow groomers Shannon and Becky, whose favourite was a ‘sweet little lady’ called Lily.
