A Gilbert Inglefield Academy pupil is being sponsored to cut off her hair and is going to send it to The Little Princess Trust.
Jasmine Figg, 10, of the Planets estate, has sent her hair to the US charity Locks Of Love, after previous haircuts, but this time she wants to do more.
Her mum, Carolyn Figg, said: “When Jasmine heard about the UK charity, The Little Princess Trust, who make wigs and hair pieces for children who have suffered hair loss, she decided she wanted to cut her hair really short, which she has never done before.
“This time she’s really going for it!
“She wants it cut like Frankie from The Saturdays when she finally gets the chop.
“Jasmine loves to help others and is asking people to sponsor her, she is hoping to raise £500 for Cancer Research UK.
“We are looking for a hairdressers to volunteer to cut her hair, and we will give the money for the haircut to the charity and publicise what hey have done for us.”
