Abseil adventure for a Leighton sports coach
National lift tower in Northampton
A dedicated sports coach will be going to extraordinary heights to take on a challenge and raise money for his club.
Nige Eaton, 44 of Summer Street, is the coach of the Leighton Buzzard Rugby Football Club for the under 14’s squad and will be doing a sponsored abseil down the National Lift Tower in Northampton on Saturday 22.
The reasoning behind his expedition down the tallest permanent abseil tower in the world of 418 foot is to help raise funds for the teams tour to Llandaff RFC near Cardiff in April 2013.
His wife, Caz Eaton, signed him up for his latest adventure, but it is not the first time as last year Nige did a shark dive to raise costs for his players.
She said: “The team will be travelling to Llandaff RFC on the weekend of 14 April. All tour costs are the sole responsibility of the team and with the current financial climate we are keen to keep the cost to parents to as little as possible.”
