Barb Jungr may be the definitive performer of one of the great musical icons of the twentieth century – Bob Dylan.

Billy Bragg said Barb is “possibly our best interpreter of Dylan’s songs”, while The Observer even said: “I just hope Dylan himself has a listen and starts writing for her direct”.

She will perform her album The Man In The Long Black Coat – which is eight years in the making – this Saturday (Sept 15) at the Stables.

The world-famous Karen Carpenter brings her Voice of the Heart show to the Wavendon venue on Sunday (September 16).

As well as performing Carpenters favourites Yesterday Once More, Goodbye To Love, Close To You, Only Yesterday, the show includes medleys of songs by other artists.

The Beatles and Burt Bacharach are represented as well as Karen’s own album tracks.

Throw in some superb vocals from Carole Gordon and outstanding talent from the brilliant Blue Jeans band, and Voice of the Heart will certainly be a sparkling night to remember,

Also performing at the Stables this week is the spearhead of Cajunand Creole music, Cedric Watson.

The multi-talented and Grammy-nominated fiddler, vocalist, accordionist and songwriter comes to town on Thursday (September 13).

Collaborators and songwriters Amy Wadge and Pete Riley come to share their on-stage chemistry with an audience on Wednesday September 12.
