A famous face in children’s television wants to find the next big star of Leighton Buzzard after opening the doors to her new dance and drama school for youngsters.

Carly Halse, 26, of Plantation Road, is a TV presenter who grew up in Leighton, but has recently returned to start a new venture in Heath and Reach and use her performance background to run Perform for four- to eight-year-olds.

“We work on what we call, the 4 C’s, Concentration, Communication, Coordination and Confidence, and we always see massive changes in the individual children we work with.”

Perform classes are held at St Leonard’s on a Saturday morning 9.30-11am and then another one at 11.15am to 12.45pm.

Carly is looking for more children to join her on an adventure and parents can sign their children up for a completely free trial by cutting out the article from this week’s LBO and taking it to one of the classes in October.
