Gabriel Steele, 18, from Wingrave, together with his best friend Jamie Coe, 17, from Winslow, decided to leave education last year to set up their company.

In April last year, a short film they made entitled The Question was screened at BAFTA and won an award at the Reed Short Film Competition.

Now the two who have been friends since they were 10 have set up a base in Aylesbury, after initially operating from home.

From there, they run two businesses. Steele & Coe Films offers a range of film production services such as promotional and music videos. Marketing Arts is a design and marketing agency offering website design, branding services and more.

Jamie, who left a marketing apprenticeship, said: “We decided that rather than going to university, running the businesses full time would be the best option for us.”

Gabriel, who left sixth form, said: “The office has maximised productivity and allowed us to take on a greater workload, which has had a noticeable impact on the growth of our businesses.”

Melissa, from Authentic Performance Academy, said: “We have worked with them a few times now on various projects and I would thoroughly recommend them. Both Gabriel and Jamie are utterly professional and a joy to work with and their work is of an extremely high standard.”
