Car catches fire in Leighton

A car burst into flames as it travelled down a road in Leighton Buzzard this afternoon.

The incident happened at 2.30pm on Stanbridge Road and witnesses say the driver was unaware his car was on fire until a man in a van pulled him over to alert him.

Emergency services arrived shortly after and the road was closed.

No-one was injured.
