Angry commuters missed their train after facing long queues at Leighton Buzzard train station’s ticket machines.

The mahem was caused by a closed ticket office last Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Neil Lewington, who was affected by the closure, said: “Chaos at the station again this morning, huge queues at the ticket machines. Loads of people are missing trains as they are queuing.”

A London Midland spokesman said: “We have experienced two short-term sickness incidents, which has impacted on opening times.

“We apologise to passengers affected.”
