Oh la la! Vive la difference! Living History Day took on a very European feel this year when a traditional French market visited Leighton on Saturday.
Visitors enjoyed everything from the can-can to an oompah band thanks to the continental atmosphere it created.
Even though the weather was not quite Mediterranean the High Street and North Street were buzzing.
Both adults and children enjoyed a fun game of petanque (boules) on the makeshift lawn and admired a day of performances.
Gill Miller, of Leighton-Linslade Town Council, said afterwards: “We were pleased to see so many people enjoying themselves and would like to say thank you to visitors, the local community and businesses who continue to support the town and the council’s annual programme of events”.ByB
