Dagnall men on drugs and firearms charges
Trio appear in court after police raid.
THREE men from Dagnall and Luton will appear in court next month to answer drugs and firearms charges after a drugs factory was raided earlier this year.
Twins Steven and Michael Elliott, 53, and Carl Birch, 48, were arrested after officers swooped on an isolated house in Hemel Hempstead Road, Dagnall.
Steven Elliott, of Hemel Hempstead Road, is charged with the production of a Class B drug, possession of a shotgun without a licence, possession of prohibited CS gas canisters and possession of a stun gun.
Birch, who also lives at the property, faces charges of production and possession of a Class B drug and Michael Elliott, of Sundon Road, Luton, is charged with non-compliance of the terms of a shotgun licence.
All three men are due to appear at Luton Magistrates Court on Friday, October 15.
Beds Police, including armed officers, executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at a private property in Hemel Hempstead Road in April.
During the search police discovered around 50 cannabis plants, hydroponics equipment and numerous firearms, including a shotgun, and other weapons.
Speaking after the operation, Detective Inspector Lindsay Turner, said: "Bedfordshire Police hopes this operation sends out a clear message that drugs, the cultivation of drugs and the possession of firearms will not be tolerated in Bedfordshire."
