Dave Lee Travis re-arrested over further allegations of sexual offences

A former Radio 1 DJ from Buckinghamshire has been re-arrested after attending a police station as part of previous bail conditions.

Metropolitan Police confirmed today that Dave Lee Travis, 67, of Mentmore, was arrested again on March 11 after claims of additional allegations when he returned bail.

A Met police spokesman said: “On November 15, 2012 a man in his 60s, Yewtree four, was arrested.

“The man was arrested on suspicion of sexual offences and taken into police custody.

“He was later bailed pending further enquiries, he returned on March 11 and was interviewed. He has now been bailed to return in April.

“On his return on March 11 the man was further arrested on suspicion of sexual offences in connection with further allegations made to Operation Yewtree.”
