LEIGHTON-Linslade Town Council is organising a Diamond Jubilee celebration on Monday June 4 in Pages Park.

Activities on the day include a best dressed king and queen competition, craft tent for making the essential crowns and coronets, a Punch & Judy show, cricket and parachute games.

Local musicians Heath Band, Fenny Stompers Jazz Band and Harmony will be performing a selection of music to suit all tastes.

Free visitor parking and designated parking for blue badge holders will be available on the day. An open top, double decker bus will provide a free service to the park, picking up at designated bus stops within the town.

As a spectacular end to the day, Leighton Linslade Town Council will be streaming live the Jubilee Concert from Buckingham Palace via a big screen which will be located in the park. This event starting at 6.30pm is free but entry by ticket only, tickets can be obtained from the Town Council prior to the event.

Further details about competitions on the day will be available shortly but for more information about the event, contact the Events Manager on 01525 631916 or e-mail: gill.miller@leightonlinslade-tc.gov.uk.
