Distruption after man dead on Cheddington train track
Cheddington train station
A MAN was declared dead at the scene after an incident at Cheddington Station this morning.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: “BTP officers were called to Cheddington rail station on Monday after a report that a person had been struck by a train.
“Officers from BTP and Thames Valley Police attended the incident, which was reported to police at 10.20am and is currently being treated as non-suspicious.
“Paramedics from South Central Ambulance service also attended but the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Officers are currently working to identify the person and inform their family.
“A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
The train involved was the 9.46am Euston to Crewe service. The line was handed back to Network Rail at 11.35am
