Euroway changes hands
Leighton Buzzard logistic firm, Euroway, has been taken over by an international company on the road to success.
The fleet management company, based in Hockliffe Street, has been snapped up by Ryder Europe as part of its planned programme of investment and growth.
A complete review of Euroway’s operation is now under way with no decision made about the future of the company’s 52-strong workforce.
Euroway fleet of 1,419 commercial vehicles provides a commercial truck and trailer contract hire service, together with fleet management and vehicle maintenance from its base in the town.
Justin Lochhead, Euroway’s managing director, who is joining the Ryder team, said: “I am very excited about Euroway being part of Ryder. Euroway’s customer portfolio includes major retailers, wholesalers, food distribution companies, manufacturers, third-party logistics providers and fuel distributors across the UK and Ireland. This solid base of contractual blue chip customers strengthens the combined business position in a range of key markets where there is strong potential for growth.
