Despite the efforts made by the public to help join in on the search to find Linslade’s missing man, a Facebook group has had to be made private after abuse was posted on the site.
Today, group co-ordinator of the Help Find Missing Neil Devlin Facebook page, Jade Morgan White, informed all 2,752 members that they would no longer be able to directly write comments without administrators checking it first.
Jade, who did not know Neil prior to his disappearance, said: “We have decided to change the settings on the group so you will not be able to post. This page was set up to help find Neil and that we have tried to do, but at the moment people are arguing with each other, pointing fingers, rumours flying around, starting up little investigations. This isn’t what this page is all about.
“We have done all that we can; me and Glenn have decided this is for the best.
“We all want Neil home safe and well. So now let’s just sit back and wait to be updated by the police.”
