Family trail opens at Rushmere

VISITORS to Rushmere Park will be able to enjoy a stunning new family trail that features some spectacular woodland creatures especially created by chainsaw artists.

The official opening of the family trail takes place this Saturday at 10.30am and the ceremony will also include the prize-giving to the winners iof a short story competition that hwas run by The Greensand Trust.

The route, which starts near the visitor centre, is based around a series of mystical and wildlife sculptures, created by chainsaw artists Ian Freemantle and Peter Leadbeater, and aim to provide interesting focal points along the walk for visitors to the park of all ages.
