The Leighton Buzzard Observer is celebrating two straight years of sales rises.

Latest ABC figures for the period January to June 2012, reveal the LBO as being one of only 14 weekly papers nationwide to have achieved a year-on-year circulation increase. During this period we sold an average of 6,162 copies every week (up 2.9 per cent from January to June 2011).

This is the fourth period in a row that the LBO has attained this notable landmark – and that’s thanks to our growing loyal band of readers.

Editor Lynn Hughes said: “The team work hard to make sure the paper reflects the character of the patch, with the right blend of hard news, information and quirky stories. We are also working hard on increasing our online presence via our website and social media sites.”
