Glorious blue skies graced the Rushmere Park summer fayre and dog show, organised by The Greensand Trust on August 19.

Hundreds of visitors enjoyed the range of events on offer at the Heath and Reach park from sideshow challenges, local craft stalls, pony rides and the eagerly anticipated dog show.

The show featured classes such as most handsome dog, prettiest princess and best puppy and all ran smoothly thanks to invaluable organisation from Tracey Greenhill – even the best sausage catcher contest!

“It was a fantastic event for families, everyone seemed to be having a great time,” said Alexe Rose, senior development officer of The Greensand Trust: “We would like to thank all of the volunteers and staff who worked tirelessly in the heat and to the local companies who supported the event; Denne Country Stores, Rose Racqueteers stringing service and Tracey Greenhill, who made the dog show fun for both the participants and the spectators.”
