A Leighton Buzzard tattoo studio is aiming to ‘Hulk Smash’ cancer by holding a raffle for a session worth £500.

Nicola Reynolds, 33, of Rising Phoenix in High Street Mews, lost her father, Michael Howkins, to prostrate cancer two years ago.

Now she is raising money for Willen Hospice by offering one lucky winner the chance to have the Incredible Hulk tattooed by her husband, PJ.

Nicola said: “My dad was a patient at Willen Hospice during his last couple of weeks. They are an amazing, fantastic team for anyone who has to deal with something like that, and they look after you afterwards too.

“We are doing the tattoo on Tuesday, August 5, as this would have been my dad’s birthday and in a way it feels like donating the money on this day is like giving him a present.”

Rising Phoenix donated £200 to Macmillan Cancer Support ealier this year as part of a Facebook campaign and also participate in Movember in aid of men’s health.

Tickets for the raffle cost £5 and can be bought from the studio up until the deadline of 5pm on Friday, July 18. The winner will be announced three days later on July 21.

For more information, contact Rising Phoenix on 01525 217121.
