Hopping mad over frog theft

Leighton’s new Children’s Trail has already been vandalised after a piece of the artwork was stolen – and that’s no croak!

A frog feature was removed from the new attraction following its official launch on Saturday, August 25. Police are now involved and CCTV is being scrutinised after the frog was reported missing the following Monday morning.

Another piece of artwork – the giant pencil on Parsons Close Rec – was damaged on its day of installation, even before the trail was opened. It appears to have been used to ‘grind’ on by skaters. It was also ‘tagged’ with graffiti and burned over the next few days.
