House ransacked by jewel thieves

Police are looking for witnesses after thieves ransacked a house in Dunstable Road, Dagnall.

They forced a downstairs window and searched through the entire house before escaping with a large amount of jewellery.

Among the jewellery stolen was a gold band with three rubies and two opals; a large solitaire diamond in a crown setting and an antique gold ring with a topaz stone.

The crime took place between 9am and 8pm on March 9. Anyone with information should call Thames Valley Police non-emergency number,101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, 0800 555111.
