Is it an act of anti-cycling?

An ‘anti-cycling’ graffiti mark on a cycle track sign in Leighton ‘epitomises’ the opinions of people in the town, says keen cyclist.

Red spray paint used to draw around the picture of the bike and then cross it out was seen by a man walking on the footpath that joins Hockliffe Road and Appenine Way last Friday.

Keen cyclist Sam Cain, 24, of Gemini Close, managed to snap a picture of the graffiti and then took to twitter to voice his anger over the graffiti, branding it ‘Anti-cycling bulls*** in Leighton Buzzard.’

Sam said: “When I saw it I thought it warrants a photo because it kind of epitomises the feeling of people in the town towards cyclists.

“I get a negative attitude projected towards me when I am cycling to work during the week.”
