It's magic! Tammy's in the business awards final

She's thrilled and delighted with nomination.

A WEDDING planner from Linslade is in line to win a New Business of the Year award.

Magic Dust Wedding Planning and Co-Ordination, run by Tammy Willson of Church Road, has made it through to the final four in the New Business of the Year category in the Bedfordshire and Luton Business Excellence Awards.

Thirty six-year-old Tammy has lived in Linslade for four years and set up Magic Dust in February 2007.

The business offers couples planning to marry a stress-free solution to making their big day special.

Incredibly-organised Tammy said: "I project-manage everything from writing envelopes and sourcing table decorations to arranging ceremonies and receptions – I can even manage mothers-in-law! I am very flexible as each wedding is as individual as the couple.

"It's all about the bride and groom getting married and having a good time and not having to worry. My whole approach is refreshing, simple and invaluable."

Tammy gained her experience and contacts from her past careers. She was commercial director for a top women's magazine and also worked for two national newspapers.

She, along with her husband Matt who works in advertising, have received their invitation to the glittering ceremony which will take place on Thursday November 6 at the Park Inn Hotel in Bedford. Host for the evening is BBC TV sports presenter Ray Stubbs and the guest speaker is Gyles Brandreth.

When Tammy heard she was a finalist she said: "Wow! I'm really surprised, but thrilled and delighted – business is good and it's so lovely to see brides' happy faces, it makes my day!"
