TWO ‘nutters’ are getting ready to climb two of Britain’s highest peaks and cycle 160 miles, all in 48 hours.

Ben Howlett and Adam Rossiter, both 31, are currently in training for their charity mission, which they have dubbed ‘Two Tits and a Tandem’.

Their efforts are all in aid of breast cancer awareness charity Coppafeel, which helped save the life of their friend Jenny Steele, 28.

Ben, of Cooper Drive, Leighton Buzzard, said the pair would be climbing England’s highest peak, Scafell Pike, in the Lake District, before cycling on a tandem to Snowdonia National Park to climb Mount Snowdon, Wales’ highest peak.

“Coppafeel is a really great charity which sits very close to my heart,” he said.

“Cancer can effect anyone from any age – Jenny was just 26 when she discovered she had cancer.

“My drive for doing this is for all of the people who have or know someone who has been affected by cancer.”

Jenny, who lives in Thame, had twice been told not to worry about a lump in her breast, but insisted on further investigation after reading an article about Coppafeel.

“It was about the CEO and founder Kris Hallenga, who was 23 years old when she was diagnosed,” said Jenny.

“I went back to the GP armed with the article, and two weeks later I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

“To this day I cannot express how thankful I am that Kris decided to use her experiences to help others. She saved my life.”
