Leighton couple’s case discontinued

A married couple from Leighton Buzzard who were facing fraud charges against the Royal British Legion have had their case discontinued due to lack of evidence.

Andrew Pullen, 51, and his wife Georgina Pullen, 52 of Bassett Road, appeared at Luton Magistrates Court on January 16 after pleading not guilty to fraud by abuse of position on October 24.

This followed an investigation into missing charity funds.
