Emergency services were called to an elderly couple’s home in Leighton Buzzard after a fire broke out yesterday evening.

Three fire engines and an ambulance attended the scene at 6.43pm in Cotefield Drive, but the kitchen fire was out on arrival.

Fire crews assisted the paramedic in getting the married occupents out of the house, which is reported to have minimal damage.
