A wheely successful Leighton family business has moved up a gear since mixing in the world of showbiz and is now featuring on ITV2’s The Big Reunion Tour.
Marshalls Coaches will ferry singers from FIVE, Liberty X, Atomic Kitten, B*Witched, 911 and Honeyz who have reunited at the start of the year to recreate the success they achieved during the late 1990s and early 2000s.
The Firbank Way coach hire company has seen its vehicle numbers triple since taking on the job of transporting touring contestants from The X Factor for the past six years and BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing tour last year.
They have also transported celebrities including Westlife, Boyzone and Leona Lewis.
Dean Marshall and his brother Glen were handed the reigns of Marshalls Coaches by their parents Fred and Sheila Marshall who started up the coach service in 1975 and have since been working with the entertainment world’s biggest names.
Dean said: “One of our drivers, John Shone, has been involved with The X Factor transport since it began and knows the routine and is always requested by the shows. “It’s good for us because it’s all quite high profile, although we don’t like to make too much of a song and dance about it.
“But we are a local company, so to do something like this is quite a big thing when you think of all the coach businesses in the country.
“Our parents have a lot of trust in us and they just let us get on with it now!”
Catch The Big Reunion Tour on ITV2 Thursday at 9pm.
