Leighton school closures announced

The recent onset of snow across Bedfordshire has forced two Leighton Buzzard schools to close half way through the day.

The latest information on the traffic and school closures confirms that Cedars Upper School of Mentmore Road, Linslade, closed at 1pm and Oak Bank School of Sandy Lane, Leighton, closed at 1.10pm.

Gilbert Inglefield Middle School of Vandyke Road and The Mary Bassett Lower School of Bassett Road are both letting children leave early.
