Leighton family's adventure on TV

Year long trek across the globe caught on camera

A Leighton family's year-long trek to some of the most remote places on the planet is the focus of a TV documentary being screened on Monday.

The Willmott family visited some of the world's most isolated tribes during an adventure which took in 26 countries.

Property consultant John Willmott, his wife Rafia and children Cyrus, Emile and Eliane will be featured on Channel 4's My Family's Crazy Gap Year, which airs at 9pm.

During their expedition the family lived in a mud hut in a remote Amazonian jungle village, experienced the wind-swept steppes of Mongolia, and even had a private audience with the Dalai Lama while trekking the Himalayas.

Organisations, schools and clubs who would like John to visit them and talk about the experiences can contact him on email jfw@willbodd.co.uk.
