Allan Falcon, 30, and his four band mates are releasing their debut single, Doo What, on Friday, June 24, followed by the release of the album, Oubliette, on Friday, July 8.

The Liverpool based band began playing as a five piece in 2013 and are pleased to now release their debut work.

Allan said: “We are really pleased it is about to be released, we recorded the album ourselves and it has been a long process, we are really happy that it has all come together.

“We all bring different things to the band musically, some of us like classical music, others are more bass, I like heavy rock, so together it all works and sounds right. Our music is influenced by other singer songwriters.

“We got together at the end of 2012 and after some reshuffling we started working as a band of five.”

They have received plaudits from Paul Heaton, Beautiful South and Blur’s Alex James and catching the attention of Manchester’s Skinny Dog Records, a label founded by Elbow’s Guy Garvey and Pete Jobson of I Am Kloot, who signed the band.

The album was recorded on the drummer’s laptop in the spare room of keys player Richie Jones and in the front room of vocalist Marc Sunderland’s childhood home.

They used Google Drive and Dropbox to add bass and guitar parts remotely from Max Barker and Simon Morgan, followed by production and mixing sessions at weekends in Simon’s spare room.

The former Aylesbury Grammar School student added: “We are setting our tour dates now, it is mainly around the north west as we are based in Liverpool but we are hoping to add some more dates closer to London soon.”
