The White House, Hockliffe Street

An enthusiastic volunteer from Linslade has been awarded a prestigious title for her charity work in the town.

Myrna Green, of Rock Lane, was awarded the Honorary Burgess of the Parish of Leighton-Linslade for 2013 on her 76th birthday.

She will receive the award in recognition of the significant voluntary contribution she made to the quality of life in the town while working for Buzzer Buses (Dial a Ride).

A ceremony is planned to take place during March at The White House, where she will be awarded the Title of Dignity by the Town Mayor, Councillor Alan Brandham.
