In response to your question: Do you think our council's bin policy is reasonable or sensible...?
It's more than unreasonable, it's down right disgusting. We pay 1,600 a year council tax... for what?
They should have, at the very least, had another collection service in the hot weather, as on three occasions we had maggots in our bin, and we know no end of other people who did too!
What harm would it have done just to be 'nice' and taken the extra waste for Ellen? They should be ashamed of themselves watching her running up the road in her dressing gown after them, but they continued driving. In the past I used to tip the bin men at Christmas time or I used to give them packs of lager, but I don't any more because they don't deserve it. We are doing the extra work for the council but still we continue to pay a high price!!!!
