Man thrown from car as it lands on its roof

A man suffered extensive bruising after he was thrown from a car during a road accident in Ivinghoe last Tuesday at 2.40am.

He was in a blue Renault Clio travelling along the B489 from the direction of Ivinghoe Beacon near the B488 junction when the vehicle left the road and hit a telegraph pole before rolling down an embankment into a grass paddock where it landed on its roof.

The driver suffered extensive bruising and was treated at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. Apassenger with back and hand injuries was taken to the same hospital.

The other passenger suffered extensive facial injuries and was taken to Luton and Dunstable Hospital.

Anyone with information about the collision is asked to contact PC Steve Leathersich via the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
