Mental health worry for ex-boxer Bruno
BOXING legend Frank Bruno has been taken to a mental health unit somewhere in the South East after experiencing erratic behaviour due to his bipolar condition.
Bruno, 50, was said to have been suffering from paranoia and aggression at his home in Little Billington, on Thursday. Friends became worried after he was convinced people were trying to take his money.
A police spokesman said officers were called to assist its partnership agencies at an address in Little Billington but they could not confirm it was the boxer’s home.
Bruno, a familiar character to Leighton’s High Street, has recently spoken out regarding his fight with mental illness for ITV show Piers Morgan Life Stories which is due to be screened this Friday. Initial reports suggest the show may now be scrapped.
