A street lighting replacement programme across Bucks has started today.
During the three-year programme, almost 7,500 street lights will have LED functionality fitted across the county, with 1,100 planned to be replaced by the end of December this year.
LED lights reduce energy and maintenance costs, as well as lowering carbon emissions. The LED lighting itself provides a clearer, brighter white light as opposed to the traditional yellow glow of current street lights.
