Last week’s successful May Day Fayre could set a new record for money raised, organisers hope.
Leighton-Linslade Rotary Club member Dave Edwards believes the final total will reach around £10,000 after a day of stuntmen, dog shows and fairground rides.
He said: “We’re very pleased. The sun shone which is one of the most important parts. Every time I was on the High Street it was packed with people having a good time.
“We had a good financial result and the feedback we are getting is that people who had stalls did well too.
“We don’t know how much we made yet but we think it’s going to be around one of our record years.”
