CENTRAL Beds Council’s new community safety plan aims to reduce crime and increase residents’ confidence in their safety.

The council is part of a community safety partnership made up of organisations including the police, fire service and drug and alcohol agencies.

The main areas identified by the council as priorities to address are domestic abuse and anti-social behaviour.

Councillor Brian Spurr said: “The community safety plan sets out how we in Central Beds will work together to reduce crime and disorder over the next 12 months.”
