Budding talent will be ‘cemented into the history of Leighton-Linslade’ in a bid to encourage everyone to get involved in this year’s Anglia in Bloom.

The town council have launched a competition to design the official postcard for the 2013 ‘in Bloom campaign and asks designers to create their interpretation of Leighton-Linslade in Bloom, whether it be a drawing, painting or collage.

Lisa Jarvis, a spokesman for the town council, said: “The winning design will be printed and the designer will receive a £20 voucher for a shop of their choice in the High Street, as well as being cemented into the history of Leighton-Linslade in Bloom.

“We’re hoping to encourage more members of the community to get involved with the Leighton-Linslade in Bloom campaign, building on the success of previous years and making a difference that everyone can enjoy.”

The competition closes on Friday, February 22 and entries can be emailed to paul.griffiths@leightonlinslade-tc.gov.uk or you can drop your design into the town council offices at The White House, Hockliffe Street.
