Race ace Mansell bikes into Leighton
Ex-Formula One driver to open new facility
Former Formula One champion Nigel Mansell OBE has swapped four wheels for two and will be riding into Leighton on Tuesday on the final leg of his Cycle Challenge for Youth.
The 57-year-old is president of UK Youth, a leading national youth work charity, and will be completing a 1,200 mile cycling challenge with sons Leo and Greg to mark the organisation's centenary year.
Mr Mansell is due be met by Leighton-Linslade mayor Gordon Perham and members of the town councils GoCycle team and Bike Club and will officially open the Danes Field BMX cycle-play site off Hockliffe Road.
He is expected to wheel into Leighton at around 11am.
